What Is Mood Board and the Importance of Having One.

For this product shoot, I’ve created a mood board using @milanote and reference from @behance. The brief of the product shoot was to create a product shoot that is high-end with a creative play in colourful lighting.

Therefore taking inspiration from luxury car photography to guide the lighting setup for a high-end bass speaker makes logical sense. This is because both products are quite large and are designed for premium clients, so its important to highlight their sleekness and detail with precision lighting control.

Car photoshoots are also known for their dramatic, high-contrast lighting that accentuates curves and craftsmanship, which perfectly aligns with the sophisticated feel we're aiming to achieve for this speaker. Having this mood board pre-plan prior to the shoot helps me visualize how to bring the same level of luxury into this shoot, ensuring every shot reflects the initial brief of the project.
